The thing is, JE was probably talking about things DT did related to money or business, not people - girls, children - because none of them care about other people, especially children. They only care about themselves and money.

I find her very difficult to watch. And i have trouble separating her characters from each other. They all

I was just thinking something similar… there is a massive sense of entitlement in this crowd, and all of these people have done things to get where they are that would make our skin crawl. They turn a blind eye and expect a blind eye in return for their own awfulness.

Sure thing! I get their morning emails - which sometimes i go weeks without reading - but i’ve been reading every day lately to keep up with the 🎢🎢 of the shutdown.

Had one in our house as a kid that my father would rarely let us use 😑. Then didn’t have one as an adult until i was 45 - and 9 years later i am still madly in love with the thing. Madly and truly.

The thing to watch out for here is that appropriations and spending bills have been the most surefire way to get fascist laws passed with bipartisan support. The general idea is that spending for certain things is too important, so part of the compromise has to be other people's rights.

I absolutely don't want Senate Dems to cave, but some key things:
1. If they do, this gets kicked back over to the House, which has to vote on it again since it would differ from their own version...which I think only runs thru 11/21?
2. That presumably means having to swear in Grjalva.

It’s like they kinda, sorta know some of the good things the government they run does… but they don’t really care enough to get the details right.

This applies to States that issued SNAP bc they were counting on the federal dollars to fund it. The feds can’t claw back State-funded food benefits (although i suppose going forward they could devise some kind of penalty for the States that issued benefits with State funds. Who knows.)

Thanks, i haven’t gotten that far but it’s on my list… the one time i tried to log on and face all of this, the site was bogged down and wouldn’t load..: and i haven’t gotten my mojo for that task back yet.
