Found a good way to attach a 3D-printed gear to a motor shaft. Timing pulleys are cheap and come apart pretty easily! #freecadfriday

Backside is about as horrible as I thought it might be but it didn’t fail at least. This is because it was slightly too hot and chocolate hates overhangs.

Reasonable result. Got the alignment slightly off but it’s okay. Had to slow it down to 10% print speed on the ears to give it enough cooling time from the previous layer.

Blast! I was off by about 6 grams.

It works decently because when chocolate prints fail to print perfectly they tend to start to look like Lovecraftian monsters anyway.

I redesigned the base trays in @FreeCAD as well. No wasted drawer space! There were some hiccups around not being able to get working mirrored sketch geometry, the shape binder thing being a mess, and the fillets sometimes making a non-manifold result, but we got there in the end.
