We’ve reached the end of my seventh Christmas at the post office. We're all tired and burnt out, but we did it. This year was the first where we truly came together to take care of one another and to stand up for our brothers and sisters.

It's a strange feeling to be both celebratory and distressed about Assad's downfall. The Syrian people deserve freedom, but now the bigger problem is occupation. This undermines their ability to determine their own future, and their newfound freedom feels lost.
