I would love to create complex merch and crowdfund them (like card games, calendars...), but I can't afford fully producing them, selling them and shipping them myself; I will probably need a publisher. Does anyone here have advice or know people/trustworthy companies who could take care of it?

Something I realized quite late in art: being good at art is not just about knowing how to draw a character with a given pose and lighting, but also how to CHOOSE the pose and lighting beforehand in order to make it look good. Not every pose and lighting is suited for a given piece.

Oh I recently noticed this page on @procreate.com that made me so, so happy. I've used Procreate for all my digital art for many years and seeing them showing such a strong position against gen A/I is such a breath of fresh air. Please keep it up ❤️

I've been experimenting with an "illustrated novel" format for an adult (non-sexual) story I'm creating. The Patrons who've been reading it seem to appreciate that concept, and I really love creating it as well. Illustrations in stories shouldn't only be "for kids" imo
I cannot tell you how many parents I met across the last few events who said that comics started their kids reading. Just comics. It’s the one thing that worked. 🫡
I’m just humbly suggesting that, should the publishing industry want to tackle the crisis in reading for pleasure rates, and we have research suggesting that there’s no crisis in reading for pleasure rates amongst children who read comics, that there’s maybe a relatively simple solution right here.

Art is just so fucking cool. I love scrolling my feed here and seeing piece after piece of what feels like the true universal language of humanity. Even if we don't share the same words you can draw a picture of something that matters to you and I will feel it in some way. I love that connection.
