I will give Suozzi more credit than he gives himself. He knew what the vote was. He just figured the way to "win" was to support the funding because that's more "centrist" and buck the Democratic majority. But morally, he knew what this was about. He ended up wrong morally AND politically.

Car maintenance is the worst. So much HGTV at the dealership. (Yes, dealerships are not good places to go as a general rule. And, yes, path of least resistance or I’d never schedule it. Changing my own oil/ rotating tires, etc. is not on the list of skills I want to spend time on.)

Someone I used to consider one of my best friends didn’t invite me to a going away meet up for a friend at a pub because they decided I wouldn’t like the noise level due to my hearing loss. Reminder not to make shitty assumptions like that & let disabled folks decide what they can/ want to do.

Just a reminder that if you tell a disabled person to move out of the US if they’re scared of living here, other countries don’t want us either. Countries will turn you away because you’re disabled. We’re seen as a burden and that’s so normalized that it’s okay to turn us away.
