NYC-DSA will be considering an endorsement of Chi Ossé's run for NY-08 today and—while i support Chi's run otherwise—i completely oppose an endorsement of that run by NYC-DSA. i think endorsing him would be a serious, unforced error, and i hope you agree:

NYC-DSA, Please Do Not Endorse Chi Ossé

somehow, Will Stancil has arrived at the "there is no housing crisis, there are enough homes for everyone" position from a YIMBY perspective. honest to god might be a first-ever occurrence online, because you have to be incredibly stupid to manage to arrive at this position from those priors
“If you cherry-pick places where housing prices are high, housing prices are high”

This is transparently bad data practice. Yes, there are places where housing is more expensive than average. There are also places more affordable than average. About half, in fact. So what?
Will, my guy, you *gotta* look at city areas as opposed to the country as a whole, we’re a nation of urban islands surrounded by oceans of real estate, and the cities are where basically all economic value is generated.

total Prop 50 cultural victory as long as this ruling holds lmao
Whoa: A federal court just barred Texas from using its new congressional map, drawn by the GOP to target Dems.

"Substantial evidence shows that Texas racially gerrymandered the 2025 Map."

Court says the old map must be used in 2026. Appeals are certain. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

how can it be "anti-Black" for these two candidates (who are hardly the final word on the subject anyways) to not back a Black primary challenger against a Black minority leader. what
AOC and Mamdani, arguably the two most prominent members of the DSA, allegedly choosing not to back Ossé in his potential primary run against Jeffries is certainly an interesting choice in the face of the NYC-DSA's reputation of being anti-Black

"The south is not racist because of its demography" is kind of the ultimate cope for these types of people because in 2024, an estimated 80% of white people voted for Donald Trump in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi and it's generously only 5-10% better in most of the non-Deep South
The south is not racist because of its demography - it’d the Blackest part of the country. It’s racist because of its history and also because of *rural* white enclaves — which exist all over the country

Olivia Nuzzi is kind of the giveaway that the American press is neither a serious institution nor one worth preserving in its current form

unlike the CENSORIOUS and CONSERVATIVE Bluesky which is run by SNOWFLAKES, on the Website League you will definitely not be banned for reacting to Megyn Kelly’s defense of pedophilia by saying we should [REDACTED] her to a [REDACTED]

When your socialist cash goes to DSA candidates like Robin, good things happen 🌹

Let's make this a reality in Jersey City by electing Joel Brooks and Jake Ephros!

We've got just 3 weeks until their runoff on Dec. 2nd. Send them to office with a donation today ⬇️
That’s why I’m excited to announce that I’ll be bringing forward a proposal to formally establish a Democratic Socialist Caucus within the City Council — and I will be running to lead it.

very serious chance that DSA could have a >50% win rate in races it endorses in this year. all it needs to do is sweep its remaining three runoffs (Joel Brooks and Jake Ephros in in Jersey City Council wards B and D; Stephanie Telles in Albuquerque City Council D1) and it'll have 51 wins, 50 losses

"what distinguishes ai from other deskilling inventions" aside from all of the people who push it to do stuff like surveillance, racial profiling, phrenology, border control and security, data collection and synthesis? or who want it to enforce a global, social panopticon?
what distinguishes ai from other deskilling inventions (such as e.g. the mechanical loom)? is all deskilling technology inherently fascist?
November 12, 2025 at 6:46 PM
at its core AI is fascist because what AI boosters ultimately want is total deskilling of the economy (and the broader immiseration of social, creative, and industrial labor) in favor of the empowerment of a feudal, technocratic class that feasts on the surplus labor and creativity of this situation

DSA stands in absolute opposition to the proposed deal to pass Trump's billionaire budget. Healthcare is a right, not a bargaining chip.

this is straight up collaborationism—an active choice rather than mere credulous stupidity—and anybody who tells you otherwise should also be treated as a collaborationist
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

name a party that has more open contempt for its voters than the Democratic Party

it realy is the hope that kills you in American politics, isn't it
November 10, 2025 at 6:20 AM
i don't know how people are supposed to take solace in the fact that the Democratic Party—in a time of fascism—can't even hold its caucus together to preserve the signature policy literally named after and fought for by the single most influential and powerful Democrat in recent political history

- Get organized. Join a left membership org: Democratic Socialists (socialist), Our Revolution (socdem), Working Families (progressive + liberal).
- Work with them to get a credible threat into your 2026 House primary race.
- Vote. Kick the cowards out.
