We said the push to erode diversity, equity, and inclusion was alarming because the push was rooted in anti-Blackness.

Fast forward a few months and conservatives are defending fundraising for a grown woman because she called a Black child the n-word.

Not a single pundit from either political party said “how are we going to pay for it?!”

Don’t dare tell us we cannot ALL have healthcare, housing, and education.

As the government flings itself apart, we will keep coming back to the grim reality. Trump can’t be restrained, or reasoned with, or babysat for the next four years. The only way to bring power back under the rule of law is to remove a lawless man from power.

It’s time to stop beating around the bush: Trump must be impeached and removed from office.

It is hard to express, without resorting to expletives, how utterly stupid it is to suggest that the United States, world's richest economy with a population of 334 million, should have a bilateral trade balance of zero (no trade surplus, no trade deficit) with every country in the world.
I want to note again how completely insane you have to be for your goal to be a “bilateral trade balance of zero” with every country. Just nutso.

ECONOMY IN SHAMBLES

U.S. job cuts hit 275,240 in March 2025, the highest since the pandemic peak in 2020, surpassing 2001 & 2008 recessions. Layoffs surge as federal cuts, led by DOGE, echo Covid-era losses.

It's the third highest monthly total on record.

The 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution is less than a month away. Rhetorically and symbolically, this moment is set up so cleanly it's difficult to believe.
The Dem establishment is choking here completely. The base is dialed to 11. The left should be trying to fill this vacuum and offer leadership by hook or by crook. There may never be an opportunity like this again. We should be outlibbing the libs. Saying the way out is through political economy.

I think also they were unwilling to believe it has been falling apart. This was the whole idea of voting for Biden: all we needed was to go back to when things were normal.

But it didn’t work because the wheels were already coming off, and people simply couldn’t admit it. Which accelerated it.
People are unwilling to believe this country could actually fall apart. They've been unwilling for the last 10 years. And it's that unwillingness that may well kill us in the end.

“It’s a sad spectacle to see a law firm …rendering itself into an instrument for lawlessness. It’s also a cautionary example of how lawyers should not conduct themselves as the Trump regime proceeds with its effort to replace the nation’s justice system with one governed by cronyism and corruption.”
While the Trump Regime is targeting lawyers for conducting themselves ethically, other lawyers are seeking to profiteer by aiding in Trump's assault on the rule of law, as I discussed here.
