But DC has been a bit shitty for a while. Last time I was there, in a hotel downtown, walked to a restaurant 10 mins away. Ran the gauntlet of aggressive homeless guys and crazies. It wasn’t pleasant. And then the hotel street was closed due to a murder. DC is scary. And I live in NYC

I did not hate watch ‘And Just Like That’. Sure, there were a few clunky moments but it was good. I was glad to watch it. SJP is still great to watch. But I also see that they might have run out of steam.

Some of this horror could at least be a bit better if the media were better trained. Compared with the UK, the journalists often ask tough questions. Tony Blair was apparently scared of appearing on the Today program on BBC Radio 4. That just doesn’t exist in the US. It’s softball questioning.

Don’t make fresh pasta that often but tonight’s tagliatelle was amazing. And I managed to cram in some zucchini and onion to the tomato sauce. It was fantastic (lashings of Parmesan)
