A good day. Hosted a fundraising workshop this morning and that went well. Home by 3pm but gone downhill since then. Bitterly cold and my hips and back are paining me. Had soup for tea and some ibuprofen. Come to bed with Round the Horne. Very cheering.

Been all over the place today - literally. Driven here, there and everywhere. Got lots of things done. All I have left in the car now is stuff for Felixstowe - everything else has gone to charity.
Renewed my driving license. Good for another ten years. I'll be 65 then.

Been to see my dad. Every lamp post up his road has a Union Flag half way up it. I'd be more impressed with their patriotism if they'd managed to get a ladder and hang them at a consistent height and with an element of actual pride. Instead they're just sad, soggy protest rags.

Been a nice day. Got some things done that I'd been putting off for a while - with the impetus now being that someone new might be coming to live with us and the house needs to be ready fir inquisitive paws exploring, and a good bit of hiding in hard to reach spaces. Miaow

Not a very productive day. Not feeling myself, so cancelled plans and stayed home. Did some laundry, slept and watched telly. Lit the Christmas tree for the first time, and sat in the cozy gloom .

I have to make videos of my street, garden, doors and rooms for the cat adoption people. Planned to have a tidy up and do that today, but weather is dreadful and I've been feeling really off. Went back to bed after doing the laundry. Feel like I've been punched in the eye/nausea. Today written off ☹️

What a day! Just when you think you know what's in store, something comes along and turns your world upside down!
Applied to adopt a cat this morning before work. Thought it would take weeks as I was very specific. Called at 9.30 am to be told there are several suitable!😊

Long day. Board meeting this evening. It's very hard to do financials at 8.30pm when you're cold, tired and hungry. But we got through it. Got to have a breakout finance meeting (at my request) because I want more focussed consideration.
Eight weeks to resignation day.

I was having a sad dream about Peter Purvis last appearance on Blue Peter and John and Lesley surprising him with a fishing trolley as a leaving present. He left without a job to go to and struggled afterwards so I guess that's the takeaway for me.

Surprised to find an increased bank balance today. On checking I find that MoreThan have paid out on my claim for Clio's final care. No explanation of the amount settled but it's more than (!) the initial estimate - but still less than half the bill.
Can finally draw a line. 9 weeks today.

First cold day. Went to Walden and did a food shop. People were very annoying. Spent the afternoon under a blanket watching telly, but found it hard to settle on anything. Went upstairs and got under the duvet when it started to rain. Listened to Round the Horne. Hilarious
