I didn't realize the SNAP and Medicaid budget were so high...oh that's what oligarchs *think* the allotment is not the actual amount going to programs. I can read
-$1.5T in new tax cuts predominantly for the rich
-$700B in Medicaid cuts
-$500B in Medicare cuts
-$300B in SNAP cuts
-Leasing public lands to Big Oil
-Ending IRS Direct File
-Ending clean energy tax credits
-Banning AI regulation in the states

The oligarchy's wish list.

Some of the CDC's main channels for communicating urgent health information to the public have gone silent.
Diseases are spreading. The CDC isn't warning the public like it was months ago

I've got a bone to pick with the NYT opinion section:

The U.S. is not “sliding toward” authoritarianism—it’s *already a police state* for many.

Yall aren't even fashionably late to the party:

Guess who's got two thumbs and was silly enough to look up to see if human agency was falsifiable??

Sooo, I work in retail pharmacy and it has come to my attention that while there are a gazzillon doctor and hospital tv shows there's almost *zero* pharmacy worker representation in the cultural zeitgeist- which would explain a lot of my customer interactions

Keep your mass market books in good condition only if you want to keep the resell value otherwise absolutely annotate your books because that increases the chances of them being preserved in archives

Segue into another story, my mom and I had never done karaoke (I was in choir in school but I don't think that counts xD) so my sister-in-law rolled out her cosco karaoke machine which because internet means *all* music is accessible; my sister has added splish slash to her repertoire b/c it's short
My other favorite example of an artist who adapted with the changing music market is

Fun thing I learned post dental appointment... apparently there's a thing called "novocaine droopy face" and I regret not asking for the day off

My public library doesn't have a blue sky account nor one of my trusted news sources so that's how I know it's not cool yet

One thing I miss about my previous manager (he wasn't "fired" but he no longer works for the company) is it was common practice to tell people going home at the end of the day to "get some rest". That felt more sincere than "don't work too hard"

Personal accomplishment for me: my sister bought a vintage leather jacket from Goodwill for 20 bucks and the only thing wrong with it was the lining was shredded and she asked me to replace it even though I've never done before and It's done! I did it! 120% amazing beginners luck but she is done

Ok, but in ALL seriousness, if someone is criticizing a singlular dietary choice out of context or engages in backseat cooking and IS'T offering to become my personal chef, shut up. I was cooking for myself and I wasn't taking requests

My PCP apparently had a name change (belated congratulations to her 🎉 ) but does that mean I need to update my insurance card? That's such a weird ramification to having your name as essentially your trademark in the medical field. Fortunately insurance and pharmacies can cross reference w/ NPI

I actually had a very positive customer interaction yesterday; the customer basically said "did you hear about this" and I said no, learned something cool, she apologized saying she likes to unload rando info on ppl and I'm like no this works out because I like to collect random info 😆

This is me scurrying around a new app trying to figure things out, so far 6/10 on user friendliness because the FAQ pages are lacking and I can't find the user guide from settings
