Conclusion: Authoritarian tools have been used continuously; only the aesthetics have changed. The framing and moralizing of economic mobility as "fleeing authoritarianism" easerases *our* history and centers privileged panic, not the live marginalized experience.

B. Problematic Comparisons

•Superimposing analogies from Nazi Germany or modern Russia.
•Use of terms like “liberal democracy” ignores the lived realities of the U.S. poor, disabled, undocumented, and racialized people.

CRITIQUE OF CURRENT FRAMING BY MEDIA/ACADEMIA

A. Alarmist Tone in Media

Titles like “The First Signs of Tyranny” and “Experts in Fascism Are Fleeing” suggest *novelty* or *foreignness*. Not "new" not "foreign ideology"

Correct the first thing that comes to my mind is the song by George Hamilton IV. With our electric grid the way it is, a data center is not even remotely the first thing that comes to mind

I'm less familar with "modern" music because my method of discovering new music is still radio and the occasional IG reel

I was trying to use the example of Dion famous for this:
youtu.be/nFch8vH81ks?...
But I actually first heard this off my parents CDs
youtu.be/rwn8hIyiHvI?...
It took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out it was the same artist
