Some of this is probably internalized ableism but it’s also understanding the “bottom line” disciplining dynamic of how getting & keeping work functions: asking for help or accommodations puts you at a disadvantage & means you’re much less likely to get the job. I’ve heard how employers talk.

Another symptom of “top 5% of economy supplies ~50% of consumer spending” or whatever it is. The prime audience for every product is now portfolio managers & senior IT department supervisors 🙃
