I don’t like how incandescent with rage I am on a regular basis.
I don’t like looking at everyone I meet and wondering if they voted for these horrors. I don’t like having to be polite to people I *know* voted for these horrors.
I don’t like any of this.

This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

Community action works.

Longest speaking filibuster ever was 24 hours, 18 minutes by Strom Thurmond in opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

In a few hours, that record will be shattered by Sen. Cory Booker, a Black man, laying out the case for saving democracy from an aspiring despot.

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific.

If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

I’m producing a play. We open next week.
It feels both unseemly and essential to go on living life like democracy isn’t unraveling…
But I am very proud of the play. And it makes me feel better being creative/productive.
Still… idk you guys… It’s a weird moment to try to make art.
