My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

It takes most people months to years to get approved for Medicaid (yes, it can take more than one year), and you have to live below the poverty line ($15K/yr) to qualify. Estimates I have seen are that fewer than 1% of people receiving benefits don’t actually meet requirements. Republicans just lie.
