Capitalism is a cult.
This is labours biggest betrayal to date. The basic tax threshold should never be frozen. That transfers tax burden onto the poor! The top level needs to be increased. Probably to 60%…

I'd like the BBC to explain why, even from his UKIP days, Farage was one of the most regular contributors on #BBCQuestionTime if not *the* most regular. The BBC has done a lot to build his political career. Why?

“Coalition of the willing” is pathetic. “Willing” peace isn’t enough.

We need a coalition of decisive action, that imposes real sanctions on Russia with a backbone to join Ukraine in standing up against an invading dictator.

What exactly were we trying to remember two weeks ago?

Appeasement?

The only reason Gill stopped being the Reform UK leader in Wales was because he failed to win a seat in the 2021 Senedd election.

Zia Yusuf keeps trying to make this sound like this is ancient history, and Reform washed their hands of him, but nothing is further from the truth.

The Conservatives & Johnson were compromised by Russian money & influence over years.

Reform obviously are.

Is Labour too? Could that be why Starmer won’t investigate?

Science doesn’t give a fuck if you believe in science. And everything that everyone trusts and relies on in their daily lives is a product of science. From switching on a light bulb to flushing a toilet. Never mind your tv, phone, microwave, car, watch, specs, fridge, hifi, computer, heating…
I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

One small(!) point. The way the debate has been engaged in over the last decade, asylum seekers have been conflated with illegal immigrants, illegal immigrants conflated with legal immigrants, and immigrants conflated with all ethnic minorities, you can’t attack one group without attacking all.

BBC

Bias is often in the eye of the beholder

So let’s stick to measurable facts

During 10 yrs of debate about Brexit, BBC QuestionTime had Britain’s Members of the European Parliament on the show 50 times

Every single one was from the pro Brexit minority

47 were from UKIP/BP

23 times Farage

Govs used to protect consumers. But they “deregulated” to “encourage business”. Exploitation and poverty is the new norm. “Wealth creators” only make wealth for themselves and their shareholders.

Labour, Tories and Reform will all make it worse.

Capitalism is a cult.
UK electricity bills up 163% since 2008. Wages haven't.

6.1m households in fuel poverty, £4.43bn debt

Profiteering: Energy sector average profit margin 23%, grid sector 38%, gas extraction 58%.

Profit last year £30bn. 128,000 a year die in fuel poverty.

No govt checks profiteering.

Did you know? The latest GERS report on Scotland's public sector funding omits the £755m raised by ScotWind in the latest offshore wind options sale. This goes to our Government.

Why? Because Westminster hasn't assimilated it into its UK-wide figures.

Another reason to ignore GERS misinformation.
