Yet again another federal court affirms that Donald Trump must get SNAP benefits out.

It is beyond sick and cruel for this President to quite literally sue in order to keep children and seniors hungry.
States face uncertainty as Trump administration tries to reverse SNAP food payments
States are facing uncertainty about providing full monthly benefits for a federal food program serving 42 million Americans.

IT'S OFFICIAL: Shoreline (pop. 63,740) becomes the latest Washington city to fully eliminate all mandates for off-street parking in new development following a 6-0 vote just now.

This makes Shoreline the sixth city statewide and the largest city in King County to take this step in land use reform.

Trump & Elon are stealing food from our kids.

That's not an exaggeration: they have canceled over a billion dollars for programs that feed hungry kids and help farmers. We need to speak out and force them to reverse course.

Impressed to see Mayor Mason Thompson defend the rights of LGBTQIA+ people to be welcomed in Bothell. Critically important to affirm this in our cities. Thank you @masonthompson.bsky.social!
A bunch of folks showed up to the Bothell City Council tonight to speak against a potential resolution affirming Bothell as a welcoming place for LGBTQIA+ people.

Here was Bothell Mayor Mason Thompson's response.

Vibe check: three councilmembers are openly LGBTQIA+, including me. I deeply and wholeheartedly appreciate the mayor and deputy mayor’s comments tonight. This is allyship in action.

@masonthompson.bsky.social and @ramiok.bsky.social never disappoint when there is an opportunity to show up. 💜

When your mail is delayed, your medications arrive late, or your packages get lost—remember it’s because two billionaires decided to fire thousands of mail carriers and cut billions in essential funding for USPS for NO reason except to break government & enrich themselves.
USPS agrees to work with DOGE on reform, planning to cut 10,000 workers
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has agreed to cut 10,000 workers and billions of dollars from the U.S. Postal Service budget.

These are the same Senate Democrats who lectured the base for years about the importance of preserving the filibuster so it would still be available when Democrats were in the minority

That’s exactly it. People tend to look around to gauge how they should react to an event, like how whenever a fire alarm goes off people look to see if it’s a drill. Protesting tells people “this is an emergency, and you’re not alone if you want to fight.”

What Republicans are pushing here is not a continuing resolution. In this case, C-R stands for Complete Resignation.

Republicans are ceding more discretion to two billionaires to decide what does and does not, get funded in their states.

It is a power grab CR. I will vote NO.

Good morning. I am a firm 100% NO on House Republicans' slush fund CR.

I will NOT vote to let Elon and Trump pick winners and losers with your taxpayer dollars.

Senators were not elected to beg Trump for federal resources.

It takes no imagination to consider how Trump would use the new authority he'd get from the House GOP slush fund bill to threaten and bully states across the country—you do what he says or he blows up your entire state budget. I will vote NO.

The Trump administration has made painfully clear they are willing to extort people, even lawmakers, to their own ends—and let's be clear, that's exactly what House Republicans' slush fund bill would empower Trump and Elon to do.

I will vote NO.

In occupied France, people would drop their used matches folded into a V, as a secret sign of resistance. People who opposed the Nazis would see them, knew they weren't alone, & felt emboldened to take action.

Some modern day equivalents here--small but powerful actions you can absolutely do:
Thirty lonely but beautiful actions you can take right now which probably won't magically catalyze a mass movement against Trump but that are still wildly important
Why? Because others will see you do them, and it will make it easier for them to take their own (slightly less lonely but equally beautiful) action by your side
