production & phenotyping of knockout mouse lines for the remaining human orthologous genes in the mouse genome. Also, this survey seeks the community input on the scientific value of IMPC producing and phenotyping allele types other than knockouts.

The survey should take 10 min or less to complete!

TOMORROW (7/30), 1pm EDT Thomas Hunt Morgan Medal recipient Paul Sternberg will discuss how C. elegans can achieve understanding of an organism & what we know of how a genome sequence specifies an organism's properties in the context of new tech & cool biology. Xenopus researchers (and only Xenopus researchers!)
Open now! Xenbase.org wants to hear from you about how you use Xenbase and what they can do to make Xenbase even better. Just click forms.gle/5WFANQTKA6TuSyg67 to take the survey! #science #biology #devbio #xenopus #frogs

Alliance release 7.2.0 is live!

We've updated our community links in the Alliance toolbar at the top of every Alliance, and the footer at the bottom of every page, to include links to our Bluesky and Mastodon accounts. The footer also has link to our Facebook presence.

TOMORROW, 1pm EDT Hear from 2024 Edward Novitski Prize recipient Elaine Ostrander of @genome_gov! She'll cover how domestic dogs are among the most variable mammalian land-based species & the genetic underpinnings of that variation. Don't miss it: bit.ly/4bdc9dv

This limit allows the table to to load quickly and consistently.
You can download a subset of the table by filtering (for example, by limiting to a single species). #AllianceSkeetorial #DiseaseModels

If you are on such a page, you'll see some bright red warning text right under the Downloads button; the 'Downloads page' link embedded in that warning takes you to the Downloads page where you can download the entire dataset.

We've limited the number of rows that can be downloaded for a Disease page Associated Genes table to 90,000 rows (this affects only a very few Disease pages, such as the Disease Ontology root term 'disease', DOID:4. Yes, we have a report page for that!).

The “Annotation Details” pop-up has expanded to include much more information. New columns and information include Association, Additional Implicated Genes, Genetic Modifiers, Genetic Sex, Strain Background, Notes, and Annotation Type.
May 7, 2024 at 5:49 PM
We've added a new Disease Qualifier column. As in the Disease Associations table, the Qualifier describes if a gene may be associated with the onset of, progression of, severity of, or susceptibility or resistance to a disease.

The Alliance has added a Data Preservation Commitment Statement to our Privacy, Warranty, and Licensing page www.alliancegenome.org/privacy-warr... (it's at the bottom of the page).
Get there via the 'About' menu in the Alliance toolbar.

Want to submit data to the Alliance? Data submissions are pulled in from individual MODs. We've added a Submit Data page, telling you what data each MOD accepts from users, with submission links. Find it here www.alliancegenome.org/submit-data or via the 'Data and Tools' menu in the Alliance toolbar

The “View” pop-up for the Annotation Details column has been expanded to include much more information. New columns and information include Association, Genetic Modifiers, Genetic Sex, Notes, and Annotation Type.

New in Alliance version 7.0.0
We've added a new Disease Qualifier column to the Disease Associations table on Allele pages. Qualifiers describe whether an allele may implicated in the onset or progression of a disease, or implicated in the severity of a disease
