I really glad you see Greens this way (you're not wrong obviously) 💚

I suspect there’s much happening behind the scenes that we don’t get to see. And for me, it’s important to remember that there are Trans+ people within the Your Party movement, working alongside their cis allies to push back against anti-Trans+ ideology and get it out of the party

Good luck to them

That really stands out right!?

"How is calling for Trans+ people to be segregated in society by forcing them into third spaces make me in any way transphobic?" seems like a question that answers itself
November 16, 2025 at 9:03 AM
Oh it's clear alright

But I genuinely don't think that's what motivates the vast majority of membership to be supportive of Trans+ human rights

It's the reality that many members are Trans+, and that so many of our cis members have Trans+ loved ones, friends, and colleagues

It's simple humanity

From the outside looking in - I’ll admit I don’t really know what’s happening behind closed doors - it does seem like there’s a bit of a civil war brewing

And giving folks the benefit of the doubt, it looks like progressive members are just hoping the ‘socially conservative’ organisers will move on
November 16, 2025 at 8:52 AM
Absolutely this

And not just bigotry towards LGBTIQA+ folk, but regressive views and values held against cishet women and girls too

We're all in this fight against the patriarchy
November 16, 2025 at 8:48 AM
In the Greens we still have our own issues, too

There’s still a small group of "socially conservative" anti-Trans+ ideologues hanging around, causing trouble and hoping they can somehow claw the party back

But the leadership - and the majority membership have made it pretty clear where the exit is

Can't see Lambeth refusing tbh, no matter how hard the Telegraph tries to get them to

✊🏼 These aren’t just statistics - they’re a call to action

A call to anyone and everyone who believes in equality and human dignity

A call to speak up, show up, and demand change

Trans+ people deserve more than just survival

Trans+ people deserve safety, respect, and justice

⚖️ 66% do NOT trust judges or the legal system

🏛️ 60% do NOT trust the EHRC

🚔 76% do NOT trust the police

If Trans+ people can’t trust the very institutions that are supposed to provide safety, then none of us can , and safety doesn’t exist for any of us

This is a national warning sign

🇬🇧 When asked, 84% of Trans+ people say Britain feels unsafe for them

That’s not a minority

That’s an overwhelming majority of a community being pushed into fear by the British media, government, and society at large

Isn't that a ward in transphobic MP Rosie Duffield's constituency? 🍿
