This is a fascinating and scary little video. And what South Korea is experiencing is only slightly ahead of where the UK and many advanced economies are.

Without immigration, we are FUCKED. I mean TOTALLY FUCKED. Yet all parties compete to stop migration. It's madness.

This is about as Nazi as you can go, minus the uniforms. Illegally and without trial, extraditing individuals to forced labour camps in a country they likely have no connection to.

Some much needed optimism from @labourlewis.bsky.social Be great if voices like Clive’s led Labours decisions and direction…can only hope Starmer pays attention!
Britain’s foreign policy reality just shattered. Trump’s return, Ukraine in crisis, Atlanticism in doubt—what now?

Keir Starmer has a rare chance to reset defence, rebuild the economy & seize the moment.

Will he?

Chaos is a ladder. Time to climb.

Yet further proof that the takeaway delivery industry is just a smokescreen to screw consumers over.

✔️Increased prices for consumer
✔️Below minimum wage pay for zero hours ‘employees’
✔️Bogus providers, even harder for the genuine independent

But hey, billions for the ‘disruptors’.
Ever wondered where the dozens of supposedly independent gourmet burger outlets in your local area suddenly sprung up from?

Well it turns out many of them are being run out of the exact same pub kitchens, using the exact same food, under entirely different names.

Thanks Carole and colleagues. Can’t overlook how important your sacrifice is here in trying to keep the Guardian/Observer free from billionaire influence.
I’ll support the only way I can, by boycotting the Guardian during the strike days
Today is the Observer’s 233rd birthday. And the first of 4 strike days. I grew up in South Wales in the shadow of the miners’ strike. Extraordinary to be joining a picket line outside what I believed was my liberal progressive news org all these years later.

We’re so grateful for your support & ✊

With billionaires buying up and using legacy media as mouthpiece’s for their fascistic agendas, this is incredibly concerning. Feels like the Guardian/Observer is the last bastion of trustworthy journalism, and it’s in great peril. Please boycott during the strike days!!
So here’s the update. The billionaire owner of the Guardian preparing to get rid of a core part of the news org + 100 journalists.
If you’re a Guardian or Observer reader, please share this. The need for a strong, free & independent press couldn’t be greater. Yet, here it is.

I think what George is sharing is the worst thing about the reality we are living in; consequences have all but disappeared for the powerful. Aside from my own fiery doom, it makes the idea of hell quite appealing to know these fuckers would get their comeuppance
1. Consent in our pseudo-democracies is strained at the best of times, but it hangs on the belief that there is some kind of justice: through inquiries, tribunals, sometimes even the law, powerful people who commit crimes against us will one day be held to account. But what if this no longer works?🧵
