Our 1787 Constitution became law 237 yrs ago today when NH ratified it June 21, 1788, because Article VII made that new Constitution binding in all 13 states once the 9th ratified it, superseding Article XIII of the Articles of Confederation, which had impossibly required unanimity for every change.

I really think the best response to this is to make these cities a ghost town. Let them show tv footage of military alone on empty streets. Maybe hang signs from windows, we’re not playing your game. Then protest after they leave

Protest. Protest your heart out. Protest against what Trump has unleashed as loudly & proudly as you can. But PEACEFULLY. Always peacefully. If you riot, if you engage in violence, you destroy your message, the American people will turn against you, and you will only help Trump.

The weight of the cage isn’t just on the prisoner.
It lives in the hands that locked the door.
If you deny food, water, dignity—you don’t just break others.
You break yourself.
Cruelty always comes back.
Not as fate—
But as rot in your own soul.
Karma starts inside.

Let’s be clear: ICE injured and detained the president of SEIU California for peacefully observing.

ICE picked the wrong side. The wrong state. The wrong person. and the wrong union. David Huerta stood up. And now 750,000 SEIU workers are standing up behind him.

SEIU California | SEIU California President David Huerta Injured, Detained at ICE Raid in Los Angeles
We are proud of President Huerta’s righteous participation as a community observer, in keeping with his long history of advocating for immigrant workers and with the highest values of our movement…

“Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.”
A Permanent Stain on Our History
The Trump administration’s embrace of nativism is as shameful as it is self-destructive.

The CDC's plans to consolidate data on diseases, as part of a new system managed by Palantir, has raised concerns about patient privacy, delays in spotting long-term trends and ways the Trump administration may use the information.
Palantir’s Collection of Disease Data at C.D.C. Stirs Privacy Concerns
U.S. and state officials say the consolidation of the public health agency’s vast trove of information could expose patients and will delay analysis of long-term trends.
