Canadian Press reporter Darryl Greer reveals the coroner did their investigation remotely in the case of Van Chung Pham, whose room contained the remains of a vulnerable youth and woman that were not found for months after police attended Pham's death. vancouversun.com/news/two-bod...
Two bodies were missed at B.C. death scene. Was treatment of coroners to blame?
What police did not notice at the time were the bodies of missing Indigenous teenager Noelle O'Soup and a woman called Elma Enan

@cbcstephenquinn.bsky.social should do a story on the BC govt cutting all services to people w/ long covid. There is no longer any clinic, doctor, or service that can meet the needs of 1000s of people. As a nurse I sacrificed my health to serve people during the pandemic & I’ve been left in the dust

I often wonder if undiagnosed gut issues in childhood contributed to low mood, depression, & anorexia. I didn’t start sorting out my gut until my 30’s. & continue to learn how gut dysfunction is strongly associated with long covid (which I also have). No wonder I’m interested in guts & sanitation!

Allow me to address the elephant in the room: The decades-long outsourcing of domestic manufacturing to China was not an insidious Chinese conspiracy for dominance but the greedy strategy of the American ruling class to explode its profit margins by exploiting global inequality.

Shirts for queer youth at a drop in community. The leader shared they rarely see a shirt with a positive message about their identity. The youth brainstormed sayings and I put them on shirts. I hope they like them!

Interesting legal strategy from Atira here, to sue residents who are living in poverty. We heard ample evidence at the coroners' inquest that Atira failed to maintain fire suppression, train staff or develop plans to help a deaf resident in case of fire. vancouversun.com/news/atira-s...

When Amazon launched in 1995, there were 5,500 indie bookshops in the U.S., with 7,000 locations. By May of 2023, that number had decreased to 2,185 indies & 2,599 locations.

When you purchase audiobooks via Libro.fm vs. Audible, you directly support indie bookshops. Let's make that number grow ❤️
