Hi! I'm a J->E translator, trans woman, gamer, and all-around mess. Current projects include Silent Witch, A Certain Magical Index, and Sasaki & Peeps. Former member of lowiro. Always looking for video game loc work! https://aptl.carrd.co/
Wow. Why have I never come up with the translation "You're welcome" for phrases like 感謝しなさい. I should really start keeping a notebook of this stuff or something.

The same applies to translation. If you don't enjoy the challenge of sitting with the words and crafting the perfect voice to match your source author's, why are you even here? The pay's not that great. And it can't be for the glory of it—we can't even get our names on the covers of our books.
Writing is not a particularly efficient way to make money. If you don't like writing, if it bores you, or if the work isn't congenial to you, you would be better off finding riches elsewhere. If you *do* enjoy writing, why are you letting the plagiarism machine do the fun bits?

Credit everyone who worked on a game.
Its not fucking hard. I've managed a credit list in AAA and in indie and it just a spreadsheet that gets exported.
Getting a credit has actual tangible impact on people's career and lively hood.

Don't be a piece of shit. It's literally free.

Having a good time with Atelier Yumia so far! I think my biggest complaint at the moment is that all of its menus and UI are overanimated. Jumping right into Very Hard mode has been a good challenge and definitely forced me to learn the combat and alchemy systems... lol

I finished Girls Band Cry while up last night with a likely allergy-induced headache. I really enjoyed it! It got very fast-paced towards the end and was a bit all over the place, but it was a fun ride with some good music. I think I'm in my rock 'n' roll era again...
