We have this to an extent with Race Across the World. My two lost interest with Celebrity Race Across the World Series 1 and 2 so my husband and I watched them on our own (very gradually). But we have managed to get them to watch series 3 episode 1 with us so I am hopeful.

Very good blog post. I agree with all this, except a proviso on point 4, Your Imagination is Still Doing All the Heavy Lifting. Not disagreeing re imagination, but not all of us are picturing things when we read #aphantasia

Though when I get round to watching the film again I’ll probably find even more issues with it than I’m already vaguely thinking about!

Yes. And whenever Claudia would talk about the money if they win, following up with the fact that the would get the kudos (can’t remember if that was the word she used).

And I loved the section right at the end of the finale - not just ending on who won.

Though I only realised when we got there & saw a sign next to the computers in the reading room that access to most of the databases still isn’t available. I knew externally that lots of resources still aren’t available (I miss Ethos!) but hadn’t known how much access on site still needs restoring.

I love the reading room in the British Museum, but my actual library experience has always been at the St Pancras site.

I remember being 12 years old and learning about the concept of the British Library and disappointed that I couldn’t go to it until I was an adult.

Agh - reminded, not rendered! I’m sure I read over this a couple of times and corrected typos, but I saw what I wanted to see, not what I had typed.
