I remember in 1990 Arizona voted down two ballot initiatives that would have made MLK Jr.'s birthday a state holiday (after the state legislature failed to pass a bill to that effect). They passed a ballot initiative in 1992 after a bunch of boycotts, including the NFL pulling the '93 Super Bowl.
The beauty of Bluesky is I keep forgetting people like Jimmy Concepts are out there pumping out insanity like this.
