Went to the bookstore not knowing what I was going to get and found Cassidy McFadzean’s poetry collection, the latest from my fave Billy-Ray Belcourt, and something on sale called a book advent calendar that I’m going to open next month.

Ordered this in despair after I looked up Toronto Florence + the Machine tickets and one in the nosebleeds at Scotiabank Arena was over $300. NOPE.

I spent today buying and putting together treat bags. We usually get around 30-35 kids. I wanted to include the adorable mini sketch pad and pencil. Do kids still like getting pencils? #Halloween

This was excellent, rich in language with a fascinating world. I’m such a sucker for poetic sci fi horror. My cover got ripped when the dog I’m looking after walked away with it! 😂

Bought the second instalment in Nathan Ballingrud’s Lunar Gothic novella trilogy. I have a dog sitting gig at the end of the week that I’m saving this for.
