A year ago I played with exposures to see if the switch to LED lights in Ōtepoti Dunedin had made it more possible to see the Milky Way above the city lights...

A bit of exposure tomfuckery & sure enough, in August our galaxy appears horizontal & low to the horizon.

I just received an email from the Otago Regional Council announcing new fares from the end of September. They're blaming new central government funding rules.
