Aren’t you glad you waited in those long lines at the grocery store Friday and Saturday?

My report today for @stlpublicradio.bsky.social:
Freezing rain, sleet and snow pummel St. Louis area, making travel dangerous and prompting closings
Some areas north of Interstate 70 could see a foot of snow by the time the storm moves out Monday morning.

The opening monologue of an awards show is such a tough challenge and Nikki Glaser rocked it at the #goldenglobes.

The Chalamet / Sandler bit was among the best.

On the other site, Grok is kinda fun. But I’m not going to post there.

Let's face it: Submitting reimbursement requests is a pain. I'm dealing w/ the minutia of whether I get a full meal reimbursed or 1/2 of the state per diem for an extended travel day.

Stories like these are a good reminder about the importance of internal controls. www.stlpr.org/education/20...

The Continental Building in St. Louis is one of my favorites in the city. Completed in 1930, the Art Deco skyscraper has truly stunning detail.

It’s right by where I work at @stlpublicradio.bsky.social, and I think these red and green doorway lights are new this season.

One of the all-time St. Louis radio greats…
50 years ago today I started my first day as a professional broadcaster at 102.5 KEZK in St. Louis. The studios were on the ground floor of the Joseph White building on Brentwood. I was 17.

I saw NBC's Sunday Night Football semi traveling east during my morning commute. It's headed from L.A. to Buffalo, the second longest distance it'll have to travel between games this season.

Trip would have been shorter had the Rams stayed in St. Louis. 🤷‍♂️
