The Continental Building in St. Louis is one of my favorites in the city. Completed in 1930, the Art Deco skyscraper has truly stunning detail.

It’s right by where I work at @stlpublicradio.bsky.social, and I think these red and green doorway lights are new this season.

Before leaving, I took in some of the holiday music being performed by school groups. I caught most of the Eugene High School Band from Eugene, Missouri, (pop. 143) in Cole County.

After the interview, at the governor’s invitation, we went to the Governor’s Mansion. There, First Lady Teresa Parson showed us around.

After replacing the refractory panels on our fireplace earlier this year, I came home to this. And, yes, Christmas decorations go up the day after Halloween, a change during the pandemic that stuck.
