There is no rock bottom below which Trump & Vance won't find another basement. This whole event is disgusting and contemptible. (By the way, for clarification, I am being reasonable when I say this because my response is calibrated to the gravity of the situation. Being anodyne is not reasonable).

Always people say Trump has no strategy. But this week dealings with Europeans feel very deliberate:

- pretend to be charmed by Macron then enact tariffs on the EU the next day
- pretend to be charmed by Starmer and try to drive an economic wedge between EU and UK

I say again: there is no end to this. There is no stopping point. Trump and the GOP are not going to just move on if they see unlimited advantage in continuously offering up the trans community as a scapegoat and hammering away because Dem leadership are too fearful to engage publicly.
