Decriminalization = Sex work is work. Full labor rights, no criminal penalties, no police harassment, just like every other job.

Legalization = “You can only work if the government allows it, registers you, and tracks your every move. Otherwise, you’re still a criminal.”

Today at work I made a protest sign during an #LGBTQ+HistoryMonth workshop because I am a very serious criminologist! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

even though this publication is under my name, it’s truly a collective achievement. huge thanks to helen for all the support, guidance, and collaboration—couldn’t have done it without you!
