I have to confess I’m not entirely convinced by Kenya’s approach to LTN 1/20.

Really proud to have joined and spoken at the first Kidical mass in Cambridge! Literally hundreds of people riding through the streets showing their support for safe routes to schools.

I used to really support the idea of unitary councils but I I'm becoming more and more worried about LGR. It's being pushed solely for cost cutting, giving little to no thought as to how to improve services for residents. All it seems to be achieving is earning some consultants a lot of money!

Why are there so many roadworks in Cambridgeshire? Each year we approve about 32,000 streetworks permits, outright refuse about 15% and send another ~30% back with conditions. With a growing city like Cambridge though it never stops and each year we get more and more!

Is it me or is Farage just like AI? Full of self confidence and, to a lot of people, sounds plausible and intelligent. In reality though it’s usually utterly fabricated and often made up. Oh it also gets a ton of press and consumes a monumental amount of energy.

Honest question here- Why do we not allow Asylum seekers to work, holding the money in bond pending the outcome of their case? If their case fails the state keeps the cash, if they are allowed to remain they have a little nest egg to get started as productive members of society?

Starting on the 11th, Cambridge will be moving to virtual residents and visitors parking permits. Welcome to the future!

Built in 1842 Cambridge Corn Exchange. Designed by Richard Reynolds, it’s really hard to get a good view of it in all its Gothic glory. #cambridge #blackandwhite #architecture

Great to have our first Lib Dem Cambridgeshire county council group meeting today. Really pleased to say I’ve been elected to stay on chairing highways with Robin as my vice chair. Only problem with so many of us is that it’s difficult to get a good group photo!

This is massive. Lorna is now the stopthetories.vote tactical vote choice. What we've been saying all along, if you don't want a Tory mayor, it's Lorna you need to vote for.

So let me get this right, now a transgendered man, even one who has undergone surgery and has a penis, will now be forced to use a woman's loo and be treated on a woman's ward in hospital? This is madness.

1/n This really demonstrates how Labour central government just doesn't get road maintenance. To be conditioning maintenance funding on how many potholes we fill might look like a good idea on the surface but it's actually total madness...

Oh man utilities. Just had to stop a traffic management company as they were being totally unsafe and pushing pedestrians into a busy road. On further inspection they were setting up and about to close totally the wrong road. Their Satnav had taken them there and they just cracked on...

Well it’s been a time coming but really nice to cycle lanes refreshed on East Road this morning. Great to see the extra investment in maintenance slowly making a visible difference.

Elon really is doing a great job showing why proper labour laws are important. Firing somebody and upending their life without due cause or process is just plain callous and bordering on evil.
February 23, 2025 at 1:20 PM
Budget meeting tomorrow and this has to be the most bizarre approach by the Tories. Instead of submitting their own budget, they've submitted 11 different amendments to spend the extra £8.1m of pothole funding in their own areas. In total their asks add up to £36m from an £8m pot. Basic maths?!?

Very disappointing to see this from Labour. Mimicking reform, boasting about deportation and pandering to Trump. Not things I was expecting from the incoming government. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
