I have been watching Philosophy Tube for years and was so incredibly disappointed with her liberal Zionist take in this video. She makes a whole video about the genocide of the American Indians and then tries to both sides the current genocide of the Palestinians. NO BOTH SIDES IN A GENOCIDE!

We went to Acorn's "Boot the Bailiffs" Demo yesterday to try to speak to councillers and Acorn members about what they think about the use of private bailiffs to collect council debts

This is an absolutely brilliant article that gives voice to so much that I've been feeling of late. This is where we are now and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified. However, none of us have to face this alone. Solidarity forever! Get organised with your friends and your communities
Politics is spoken of as if it has no impact on our bodies, as if backs don’t bend and feet don’t bleed and stomachs don’t grumble and heads don’t spin with every decision made at the seat of power. Hunger and pain is spoken of as bad economies.

I would be surprised about Rachel Reeves supporting a third runway at Heathrow, but what did we expect from a colonial neoliberal party who stands for nothing but lining their own pockets?

Pairs nicely with more blood money those arms licences are bringing in, eh @teamlabouruk.bsky.social ?

“Whatever the next round of youth climate activism looks like, youth activists overwhelmingly agree that it will be about more than just climate,” writes Austyn Gaffney in @nytimes.com.

Brilliant video. I get the fear of doing political content when you haven't "earned" it, but I think everything is political. Just because "you're just a music theorist" doesn't mean you can't talk about complex topics. You're using the same muscles to analyse politics as you use to analyse music.
I got mad so I started making a thing, and then I got depressed so making the thing took forever, and now I don't know if the angry thing I made is actually useful anymore, but I think I needed to make it anyway.

Looks kinda cool
Netflix has a movie called "A Man of Action" about real-life Spanish anarchist Lucio Urtubia who robbed banks, counterfeited U.S. dollars, and gave to the poor. It's mostly set in 1960's Paris.

Mr. Urtubia passed away in his Paris home in 2020 at age 89.

United CEO Andrew Witty gave an address to the company today (leaked to me), telling employees "we guard against...unnecessary care" and that "There are very few people in the history of the U. S. healthcare industry who had a bigger positive effect on American healthcare than Brian [Thompson]."

How much more evidence do we need, after 29 failures, that the climate COPs are not fit for purpose? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
There have been many proposals for a process that would actually work, but all are ignored.
The talks are MEANT to fail.
