Data as of 4 November shows a break in the upward move of the money market MCI, which coincided with the announcement of the end of QT. In other words, money market conditions are not as tight post announcement

Fun offshore dollar market updated factoid: in the year to end-June 2025, offshore dollars increased by ~ $1.42 trillion (about $ 91 billion for stablecoin market cap over the same period, for comparison)
Fun offshore dollar market fact: in the year to end-March 2025, offshore dollar deposits increased by roughly 11.5 times the increase in total stablecoin market cap over the same period (977 bln versus 85 give or take).

Multi-issuer model for crypto asset stablecoins poses significant financial stability risks & regulatory challenges for EU. In such a model, an Electronic Money Token (EMT) — a stablecoin —is jointly issued by both EU-regulated institution & 1 or more third-country entities.

Multi-issuer stablecoins: A threat to financial stability
Stablecoins – digital tokens pegged to fiat currencies – have emerged as a major innovation in crypto finance, with broad implications for payments and international finance. The IMF, the Financial Stability Board, and the European Systemic Risk Board are focusing on the regulatory issues, while the US has just passed the GENIUS Act, a comprehensive framework for stablecoins. A particular innovation is the multi-issuer stablecoin, a cross-border construct. This column explores the risks such stablecoins pose to financial stability and measures that could contain these risks.
