I watched "Seventh Seal" recently by Ingmar Bergman, and I have to recommend it to everyone. Without spoiling anything, I would say that the way it weaves death into the setting and story is unlike anything I have watched previously.

Update: I have reached the garden and stepped through the hedge and ended up down 2 rooks. In all a beautiful garden and game.
I will try to pull this one on people tomorrow at my chess club. If they are playing alpha move though it will be a struggle.
