Here are Huasheng & Prof Aiwu Jiang filming shorebirds that they're lucky enough to have wintering on the tidal flats near their homes in Fangchenggang, SW China. They've built trust with these birds, including Spoon-billed Sandpipers, so the birds approach very close. #BirdsSeenIn2025 #birds 2/2

Possibly the caterpillar of a Speckled Wood butterfly or a moth of some sort - food for young Chiffchaffs now
