When discussing the look of modern franchise movies like Black Widow in comparison to movies from the past, I think we have to be more honest about how movies like even the better Bond sequels had shots like this.

Stellar. Can't say I followed every one of its meta turns but its stylish pastiche is deeply satisfying while staring unblinking into the level of violence and neuroses of Bond and the whole genre that has run its course. Could have been a shallow exercise but goes beyond that. My fav of 2025.
