Come and say hi! 👋
I am already over it and I'm only getting started.

Why do I do this to myself?

I have the awful habit of never finishing series. TV or books.

Well, I've just finished The Haunting of Bly Manor after starting it 2 years ago.

9 episodes.
2 years.

I'm crying like a baby. Maybe that's why I never finish them.

One of the coolest things from being in the book world is being asked to read a Beta copy and provide feedback directly to the author.

I always feel so grateful for this opportunity when I am asked. 💙📚

Sometimes the monsters are not the ghosts but the men who created those ghosts.

Set in the Jim Crow era, it follows Robert, who got sent at The Reformatory after kicking a white boy on the knee, and his sister Gloria trying to set him free.

It's a place full of haints and terrible secrets.

I've been feeling sick and anxious for the past week. Each time I open the news or social media, it seems to get worse.

I have a degree in history, and I see it repeating itself. Knowledge is power but also a burden.

I am terrified.

Don't you love it when you pick up a book by a new-to-you author and you become so obsessed with them that you need to get your hands on the rest of their books.

Reading on your commute to work is great!

Unless you're not ready to deal with the fact that you will be closing your book in the middle of the chapter's cliffhanger or plot twist, heart racing, with only one page left, just so you don't miss your stop.

You can really tell time is a construct when I feel like both “what do you mean it’s STILL January” and “what do you mean it’s ALMOST FEBRUARY” are both true and valid statements

Looking for a light, fluffy read or audiobook? This one hit the spot.

How would you feel about receiving a paper saying how long each relationship would last? What if it could be incorrect?

Weekend mornings are for reading.

What's the next thriller or horror book I should read?

I am still finding my way through this new app. I never used Twitter before so this is a little confusing. I can't wait for Flashes to come out so I can restart my IG book account over here.

Anyways... want to share a fun book from your shelves?

Been thinking about this a lot (not tagging the sender, for their privacy). Most of us won't have the chance for for grand, capital-R Resistance heroics. But every one of us will have a thousand small choices to make about how to live our lives and where to draw lines. Use them well.

What is everyone reading right now?

I've just started The Reformatory by Tananarive Due, an horror book set in the Jim Crow era of 1950. It's exceptional so far!
