Donald Trump and the MAGA Congress kicked 30,000 lawful immigrants in our state off of SNAP. Our budget funds those benefits to keep Washingtonians fed.

Donald Trump and the MAGA Congress blocked Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood. Our budget backfills that to protect women’s health care.

Our troopers put themselves in harm's way to protect our communities every day. Please make sure you're taking care on the road. If you see flashing lights, be cautious, slow down, and move over if you can safely do so. Thank you to our law enforcement officers for all they do.

The Trump administration is doubling the level of cancer-causing chemical formaldehyde Americans can be exposed to.

Is that going to Make America Healthy Again?

SPEAK UP against this giveaway to the chemical industry.

342 of our bridges are at the typical life expectancy of 80 years, or older.

80 of those are in poor condition.

That is totally unacceptable. Keeping our roads and bridges in good condition saves money and helps working families. It also creates good paying jobs for workers.
To be blunt, the state has neglected its core transportation infrastructure for too long.

Today, I announced that I'm proposing $2.1 billion, the largest investment in 2 decades, for preservation and maintenance of our roads and bridges. This is being done without raising taxes.

It’s outrageous Trump is locking up hardworking community members like Kelly Yu while pretending he’s focused on real criminals.

I met Kelly at the ICE detention center in Eloy. She’s a small business owner who’s only ever made this country stronger. She should be freed.
West valley political leaders say Supreme Court ruling should free Peoria sushi shop owner from ICE detention
Kelly Yu has been in immigration detention for over six months. A pair of political leaders from opposite sides of the aisle say that fact should free her.

Today I received FOUR death notifications for people in ICE custody. That's 30 deaths since Trump took office. It's appalling & unacceptable.

ICE is required—by law—to ensure detainees are safe & their basic needs are met. It's clear this isn't the case. We NEED answers.

Listen to local officials, stay alert. But know that everyone is stepping up to help their neighbors, and we'll get through this together.

The Skagit River has had several major floods in its history. My ancestors were homesteading on the Skagit River near Marblemount during one. I understand the impact flooding is having on these communities, and across our state.

We're working hard to get through this together.
I understand that many in our state have experienced significant floods in the past. However, we're looking at a historic situation, expecting 2 feet higher than record flood level.

If you have instructions to evacuate from your local authorities, please evacuate.
