I haven’t had the time to read up on the situation, but why is it bad that EA is going private?
Is it who is buying them?
I understand that any buyout is often followed by cost cutting, but isn’t the complaint that being public sucks for the devs since the EA only cares about shareholder value?

i would prefer if more games should expect you to play the previous ones.
books expect you to do it, many movies expect you to do it.
i want more devs to treat sequels like they do expansions. soon after the beginning, the content should be harder and expect more from me than the previous game.

it’s insane the emotional resiliency i gained from playing dark souls in middle school. it prepared me so perfectly to be a software engineer, and deal with the problems that arise in said field.
