The next stops on my North London Jewish bakery crawl were all about the rugelach. Now I hadn't come across these little crescents of joy until @akatzkennedy.bsky.social pointed me in the right direction (not least in her brilliant guide for @vittles.bsky.social), so catching up for lost time! 🥐

I had the absolute pleasure of writing about Liu Fang, her unexpected story into owning a Chinese restaurant inside a diner and how her rooted-meets-fluid approach to Chinese cuisine has expanded the culinary scene in Cleveland for the better.

Londoners are spoilt for choice when it comes to bakeries. For delicious magazine, I had the pleasure to write about just some of my favourite modern Jewish bakeries the city has to offer, whose history and influence has changed and evolved over 100+ years www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/londons-best...

Always a pleasure catching up over a fantastic meal and great company.
Fabulous catching up with @akatzkennedy.bsky.social over a Korean feast at New Malden's Imone - tteokbokki, japchae and their signature saengseon jjim (whole whiting in a spicy sauce with bitter chrysanthemum leaves). A real treat! 🌿

I really really appreciated what Tim Anderson (who I don't think is on here...yet??) wrote about essentially weaponising American nostalgia to make people believe that it's true, just, real and achievable 24hourpancakepeople.substack.com/p/24-hour-pa...

I’m opening a new online culinary school in 3 days! Eep!

Everything is chaos but maybe it’s the perfect time for a school that has fermentation lessons, and writing prompts, and guided meditations so we can create wonderful things while we navigate said chaos?

Watch this space!

Hello to many new faces! Really hoping to connect with kind, funny people with varying interests including food/culture. I'm a food & culture writer originally from Cleveland, living in London for 18+ years now. I like writing about food but I mostly do so to write about and understand people.
