Great food, lovely walk, and the first red squirrel sighting of the trip. Thanks for the suggestion, we'd have ploughed on to Holyhead and had a sandwich in the car at the port. Paul will still be sufficiently early to get use out of the "premium boarding".

Total haul was about 5kg, I got 1kg. There ended up being a dispute with him telling me not to fall in the river picking them, and me replying that unlike him (but like his father and countless generations before) I was raised on this land #NeverBeenSoInsultedInMyLife

My haul "liberated" from a neighbouring pensioner. He's put forestry all around the blackthorn so this is a miserable harvest. There's unlikely to be enough to give them any gin to mind until Christmas.
