Open our eyes, Lord,
to the wonders of your glory,
to the splendour of your love;
may we ever seek
the way of your wisdom,
the path of your peace,
the light of your love
in our lives and in the world.
Fill our hearts with yearning
for your kingdom,
for life in you.

Without exception, every school cited in an article as closing due to VAT was already not a going concern.
It’s nice to flex the old reporting muscles to work out what the real story is here (school was running at 70 per cent capacity, the small Christian trust that runs it is losing money), but sort of feel like the BBC reporter should have done it instead.

However bad the last few years of government, the fundamental problem remains that the UK wants low taxes and high spending, and in an ageing society which adversely affects both sides of that equation, that's no longer tenable.
