As someone diagnosed as #dyslexic as an adult, this chimes with my feelings. ‘[d]yslexia [has] caused me to distrust my intelligence which in turn [has] resulted in a lack of faith in my opinion [...] My lack of trust in my judgement [comes] from a fear of making mistakes.’

Sometimes, the most mundane-sounding documents reveal the most critical insights, such as who reported to whom. This comes from a source called the 'Distribution of Duties.' It's an RAAF publication outlining roles for those who worked at RAAF HQ (the RAF had something similar).

#OTD in 1941 the Luftwaffe conducted a raid against the RAF concentration of Whitforce on Giarabub (Jaghbub) landing ground (LG 107), causing havoc amongst 33 and 113 Squadron.

Cracking open the fortress siege lines was a combined arms endeavour, armour, infantry, artillery and a very substantial air force component. A total of 270 planes were concentrated for the attack. @airpowerhistory.bsky.social @mike-bechthold.bsky.social @rafhistory.bsky.social
