Cracking open the fortress siege lines was a combined arms endeavour, armour, infantry, artillery and a very substantial air force component. A total of 270 planes were concentrated for the attack. @airpowerhistory.bsky.social @mike-bechthold.bsky.social @rafhistory.bsky.social
