A better way is possible. Even Network Rail can do it.

This 2.5 hour high speed rail ticket from Seoul to Busan cost $39.72 per person, booked about a month out.

$39.72.

I think passengers will always demand better, but there’s no option so Amtrak just doesn’t. This 2.5 hour ride from Seoul to Busan was $39.72.

Amtrak could never.

Seriously, though. I have not once even felt jostled by this train at even its highest speeds.

Why can’t Amtrak do this on the NEC at speeds half as high? Is it a skill issue? A competency issue? Do they just not care? There’s really no excuse since the track belongs solely to Amtrak.

Approaching the top speed of 190 MPH on this KTX train and it’s preposterously smooth.

High speed rail is amazing.

And in my experience it he ETA info for the 62 is absurdly inaccurate.

My parents never worry about the cost of transit to the city since it seems like 80% of the time they don’t have tickets collected
November 26, 2025 at 2:04 AM
Sorry, mom and dad. Not you.

Or when they moved to Brooklyn in the first place because Nassau County/Hempstead refused to build them a new one in the first place?
