We're in Didcot on heavy clay, we have two elderflowers ('Black Lace' and 'Golden Tower') that are happy with soggy feet and get pruned to the ground annually - they can be quite vigorous though. Choisya of various varieties also does well around here and can be kept to a neat size.

I feel pretty awful for Gigspanner, their summer tour with her was due to kick off shortly, don't imagine it'll be able to proceed as is. They're fantastic musicians and don't deserve their rep to take a hit.
