Hang in there. It may be difficult for kids to mask, but wherever we have control of our environment take the necessary precautions. It's not necessarily just masking but other mitigations as well, like avoiding crowds that prevent infection. Practised habits rub off on our kids..

“Well but masks are uncomfortable” so are bras and heels and stiff dress shirts and wool and tight jeans and eyebrow plucking and waxing. You’ll be uncomfortable for fashion or decorum, but not for the health of others?

The main thing is to reduce the number of infections.. Even if we are to fall sick, keep up with the precautions because preventing each infection means preventing your chances of causing irreversible damage to yourself and others.

But I reckon that's not the point.

I reckon the point is that rsv and flu are stepping with perfect timing into a field of damaged immune systems from the most recent huge covid wave.
