Mentally ill people are largely seen as expendable and our deaths never preventable or meaningful
Part of the reason I think there isn’t as much pressure around stopping ChatGPT re: suicide/psychosis as compared to stuff like Panera Lemonade is because people are inclined to blame it on mental illness versus the tech, a kind of victim-blaming mentality that fits neatly into just world fallacy

That moment when the event you've been excited for for weeks is finally happening, but almost any amount of light gives you a headache #disability

I see so many misinterpretations of how consent and trauma work online and so many people claiming to be progressive demand perfect victims over and over again that I'm just losing hope there will ever be any safety or support for so many people who need & deserve it

Finally read @xiranjayzhao.bsky.social's Heavenly Tyrant after my kid has been bugging me to read it for months. It's incredible. For a 10 year old to enjoy an amazing action sci fi story with a lot of political theory that he grasped as such because of the context is amazing.

I love how one unexpected conv with a flatmate (who was really nice!) can drain me so much it fucks the rest of my plans for the day. Yaay for #disability

Every amenity we enjoy—the roads we follow, the phones we use, the cars and trains we take, the clean water we drink, the medicine we trust, the clothes we wear, even the art, film, literature, and music that adorns our lives—is a result of the time, labor, patience, and care of other people.

Currently reading The Care Manifesto and it just hurts to see how little we learned from COVID and how invested many are in acting like it's just gone

with everything else going on in the world right now, seeing #dragonage just die off in order to line the pockets of people that were never a part of making it great still somehow manages to be so sad & frustrating

I recently finished The Spirit Bares Its Teeth and wow. The book was such a gut punch at times, I had to stop reading for several days.
Strong recommend for anyone and everyone who wants a different look both at the experience of being trans&autistic, and of being perceived as female and the ease
