Here in Ohio we have a huge geometric 2,000 year old mound that points to the northernmost moonrise every 18-19 years. I figure the Culture must have left some some sort linguistic traces. Maybe also Central-Algonquian which supposedly is areal-related to Proto-Algonquian, not genetic.

How about tisdaling, after Elkanah Tisdale, who drew the famous cartoon in opposition to gerrymandering? All the cartoon needs is a sword through it's belly.

If you read the executive order, this is what the map should look like. Google's mappers are not only ass-sucking toadies, they are also incompetent morons.

Here's a Great Heron from a few years back. I was walking along a river bank and it was trying to hide behind a rock (instead of flying away). Telephoto from 8 feet.

Here's a nice patch of bittersweet from along my walk with my dog this afternoon. In the near background is a remaining piece of the Ohio and Erie canal. In the far background are fish ponds of the Hebron State Fish Hatchery.

The near full moon tonight is near the climax of the moon's 18.6 year cycle, and at meridian (like the sun's "noon") is almost overhead. It's as high in the sky as the sun during the summer solstice. It's easiest to show by the shortness of my moonshadow.
