The Trump Administration is attempting to illegally restrict funding for HUDs flagship program that helps communities combat homelessness and provide affordable, safe, and stable housing to our most vulnerable residents.

We’re suing.

Excellent News: We’ve secured a final ruling blocking the Trump Administration’s illegal attempt to defund several critical government agencies—including the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

California will not stand by while the Trump Administration marches in and make a mess of our coastal towns and waterways in order to line the pockets of its wealthy friends.

In collaboration with U.S. DOJ, we’ve secured a $18.2 million settlement with CVS for submitting false claims to Medi-Cal.

Pharmacies have a responsibility to check all claims submitted to Medi-Cal are verified, true, and well documented. Ensuring Medi-Cal funds go to those in need is critical.

Joined educators, mental health professionals, and community leaders at La Cheim School to discuss the intersection of mental health, trauma, and public safety, and their impact on California’s youth.

Together, we can fight to ensure the Golden State provides golden opportunities for our youth.

We’re issuing guidance on protections under CA law for patients seeking gender-affirming care and medical professionals who provide it.

California hospitals and health providers have a legal obligation to provide timely, safe, and equitable access to healthcare services free from discrimination.

Targeting the hungry.

Pulling away healthcare.

Militarizing our cities.

Raising costs.

The American people deserve more.

We’ll keep fighting until they get what they deserve.

The federal government is attempting to deport people who have built lives and become part of their communities without giving them a fair hearing before a judge.

It’s antithetical to our democratic values and a clear violation of these individuals’ constitutional rights. oag.ca.gov/news/press-r...

Our veterans deserve protection as strong as their service.

I urge all California veterans and their families to be wary of scams, triple check every offer, and seek assistance from reliable and accredited channels when in doubt.

Once again, a court has firmly rejected the President’s militarized vision for America’s future.

We celebrate this victory with eyes wide open and firm resolve to see this fight through to the end.

Tariffs are taxes. The power to tax is a power vested in Congress—not the President—that’s rooted in the history and founding of the U.S. back to the revolution.

As Americans know, costs have gone up, jobs are being lost and our economy is being harmed.

The president has no legal authority to impose these tariffs.

We’ll keep fighting today and every day to protect Californians, uphold the Constitution, and ensure justice prevails.

Testified before Congress on the Trump Admin’s refusal to fully fund November SNAP benefits.

42 million low-income Americans rely on this critical program. We’re currently in court fighting to ensure that the federal govt puts their needs first, instead of trying to score cheap political points.

Nancy Pelosi is a fearless leader, dedicated public servant, and tireless champion for Californians and Americans.

There are few in recent memory who have done more for our state or our country.

Her presence in Congress will be missed, but her legacy will live on for years to come.

Today we heard oral argument in the SCOTUS case challenging Trump’s illegal emergency tariffs.

These chaotic tariffs are causing uncertainty for businesses and consumers, job losses, and ripples across the economy.

We urge SCOTUS to restore order—for Californians and the global economy.

California will not be a pawn in the President’s political games.

I’m grateful to the court for putting a stop to this nonsense and ensuring we are able to continue to receive vital transportation dollars that support our public infrastructure and keep our roads safe.

California’s elections are safe, and secure. We welcome transparency.

We reject any attempts to obstruct or interfere with the voting process.

Speaking with Contra Costa County School Boards Association about CA’s efforts to protect immigrant communities and critical education funding.

At CA DOJ, we’ll continue to ensure all children have access to the education they deserve and have every right to.

Trump and McMahon want to reward loyalists and punish those who dare speak out against him. To force us to bend to Trump’s whims and bend the knee.

This new rule doesn’t serve the American people. The only person this rule serves is Trump.

Let me be clear: SNAP benefits have NEVER been interrupted in previous government shutdowns.

The Trump Administration chose this.

Food banks like the LA Regional Food Bank are preparing for more people seeking food assistance as the Trump Admin unlawfully allows SNAP benefits to lapse.

We’re suing to force Trump & USDA to use funds they have to cover SNAP benefits in November.

We won’t sit idly by as Californians go hungry.

I’m joining volunteers at the LA Regional Food Bank to talk about SNAP, California’s lawsuit, and how our state is fighting to protect people facing food insecurity.
